故事发生在两千多年前一个名叫石缝村的地方，山上藏着法术高超的山神操蛇神（姚刚 饰），却以降灾降祸要挟当地人送姑娘给他祭祀。自幼习武的愚公（赵恒煊 饰）以护卫身份侍立国王左右，当年心爱的女孩紫玉被献给山神令他悲愤交加。他砸毁祭坛，力战群妖，却不得不在父母的哀求下罢手，还被智叟（杜源 饰）暗进谗言发配到荒野居住。操蛇神衔恨在心，用计搬来王屋和太行两座大山挡在愚公的门前。绝不屈从的愚公固守当地，和老婆（沈丹萍 饰）十数年来含辛茹苦开垦荒地。而操蛇神和智叟各自依旧策划邪恶的阴谋…… 本片根据中国经典民间故事改编。。Chantel is happy: her son's away at school playing soccer, she and her husband get along, her neighbor Agnès is her best friend, and her job at a government office is easy.
