本片讲述了某内地城市中学西藏班女老师王岩，呕心沥血、鞠躬尽瘁，为了班上所有西藏学生的成长，尽心尽力，甚至舍弃个人的感情生活，照顾西藏学生的学习及生活，为藏区文化的建设竭尽自己毕生的精力。。影片改编自短篇故事集《憎恨,友情,求爱,爱情,婚姻》。女主人公是一名保姆，她被一位孤僻老人雇佣照顾他的外孙女，可是古灵精怪的小女孩心里却打着自己的算盘：她设计让保姆与自己身处异地的老爸来一段网恋，你来我往几封电子邮件过后，保姆不由自主地爱上了这位陌生男人。此时她却得知女孩的爸爸是个瘾君子，在外地接受戒毒治疗；自己的雇主老人一直怪责女婿害死了自己的女儿，伤心欲绝……女主人公是否能够化解他们之间的心结？而她与女孩爸爸的爱情又将何去何从？。A brother and sister move into an old seaside house they find abandoned for many years on the English coast.
