It is not very usual that for the ...。清朝末年，内务府继大人（雷格生饰）之子福琪（李成儒饰）看上了街头卖艺的少女奎俊（刘敏涛饰），奎俊不从，福琪便设计陷害。大太监吴德贵（马恩然饰）得知后从中弄权，将奎俊抢占为妻。奎俊爱慕来京逃难的冯青山（于震饰），而冯青山则在无意中陷入了一场王家贵族之间的纷争。而一副古画和一个翡翠蝈蝈的出现，更使故事陷入了重重危机……。有腳疾的阿忠（喜翔飾）執意開車去屏東，彥博（鄭有傑飾）無奈之下只好載阿忠前往，父子倆一路沉默不語，關係疏離而遙遠。途中車子突然故障，兩人因此再次回到媽媽的故鄉—苑裡小鎮。媽媽過世後父子倆鮮少回來，對小鎮的變化和很久不見的親戚， 兩人都非常陌生。眾人言談間，當年的事又再次被提起……。。
